Reima´s bugproof products are here!
Reima is a Finnish clothing brand, known especially for its children's textiles and outdoor clothing. Their "Bugproof" products are clothes that are designed to prevent insects, like tics, from entering the skin and thus prevent bites from mosquitoes and other small insects.
Reima's Bugproof clothes are made of fabrics specially designed to repel insects. The secret of Reima BugProof clothes is citrus grass (lemongrass), from which the extracted oil containing geraniol is the plant's own insect repellent. The repellent is added to the fabric during the surface finishing, and its effectiveness lasts for more than 50 washes. The extract has a very light, pleasant lemon scent, which many insects such as ticks and mosquitoes do not tolerate.
Such clothes are especially useful for children playing outdoors, for example in the forest or in the summer when mosquitoes and other insects are abundant. Bugproof products can be, for example, trousers or socks.
